The designs in this quilt are based on floral embroidery designs from Germany in the early 1930s.This pattern includes detailed instructions and full sized, mirrored templates for machine embroidery in formats for .art60, .art, .dst,.exp, .hus, .jef, .pes, .shv, .vp3.The designs have been divided up into hoopings according to hoop size.

The first set of stitch-out instructions is for a Jumbo Hoop with an embroidery field that is approx. 400mm x 260mm (15.7” x 10.2”). The second set of stitch-out instructions is for EITHER a Mega Hoop with an embroidery field that is approx. 400mm x 150mm (15.7” x 5.8”) OR a hoop with an embroidery field that is approx. 200mm x 300mm (7.9”x 11.8”).

The number of hoopings you will have to make depends on your embroidery machine and your hoop size. A hoop with embroidery field approx. 100mm x 130mm (4” x 5.25”) and a hoop with an embroidery field of approx. 145mm x 255mm (5.7” x 10.0”) are also required.

*Pattern includes cutting instructions and SVG cutting files that can be used with your preferred electronic cutting machine.

This pattern was not designed for the type of applique where you cut away the extra fabric. The templates are the actual applique size and after cutting out the pieces, you will place the pieces within stitched-out placement lines.

HOWEVER: You CAN use the cutaway method for your applique, but you will have to repeat the placement line after you place your fabric down and before you cut your fabric away.   I do not include a second placement line or a tack down stitch in my designs.
