The Spellling Bee Alphabet is a whimsical alphabet that includes twenty-six uppercase and twenty-six lowercase letters. These 3” letters can be combined and used to personalize just about anything - aprons, tea towels, pillowcases, quilts, throws, make-up bags, purses....you name it!
The CD contains:
This pattern contains a collection of embroidery machine designs in the following formats: .DST, .EMB, .EXP, .HUS, .JEF, .PCS, .PES and .VP3. The individual letter designs are no larger than 3.2” x 3.2” so they fit in just about any hoop.
There is a unique background “fill” in each of the letters. In addition to adding interest to the designs, this helps to hold the applique down if you wash the item to which you are adding the embroidery.
BONUS: These letters can be combined in any way you wish, but I have also included the combined word phrases: Love to Sew; Love to Quilt; Love to Read. Each of these designs is approx. 5.25” x 8.5”. A 61/4” x 101/4” (160mm x 260mm) hoop or larger is required. Also included is Stitch happens. This design is approx. 5.25” x 10.25”. An 8” x 12” (200 x 300mm) hoop or larger is required. See COMBINED WORD Folder for designs, stitch-outs and instructions.
Easy to follow, step-by-step instructions for combining the letters horizontally and vertically.
Mirror and non-mirror templates for cutting out shapes.
This pattern was not designed for the type of applique where you cut away the extra fabric. The templates are the actual applique size and after cutting out the pieces, you will place the pieces within stitched-out placement lines.
HOWEVER: You CAN use the cutaway method for your applique, but you will have to repeat the placement line after you place your fabric down and before you cut your fabric away. I do not include a second placement line or a tack down stitch in my designs.
