This pattern was updated in Spring 2020. The only thing that has really changed is that some of the thinner embroidery lines have been made thicker to cover the fabric better.
Potpourri is a whimsical quilt design utilizing a variety of floral fabrics for the brightly colored vase and flowers. The embroidery designs on the CD come in the following formats: .art60, .art, .dst, .exp, .hus, .jef, .pcs, .pes, .shv, vp3. A hoop with an embroidery field approx. 145mm x 255mm (5.7” x 10.0”) is required.
The flower pot can also be completed in fewer hoopings using a Jumbo hoop, 260mm x 400mm (10.2” x 15.7”), Maxi hoop, 210mm x 400mm (8.2” x 15.7”), Mega hoop, 150mm x 400mm (5.8” x 15.7”), or a 300mm x 200mm (11.8” x 7.9”)
*Pattern includes cutting instructions and SVG cutting files that can be used with your preferred electronic cutting machine.
This pattern was not designed for the type of applique where you cut away the extra fabric. The templates are the actual applique size and after cutting out the pieces, you will place the pieces within stitched-out placement lines.
HOWEVER: You CAN use the cutaway method for your applique, but you will have to repeat the placement line after you place your fabric down and before you cut your fabric away. I do not include a second placement line or a tack down stitch in my designs.
